Santa's Letter!

While at ELC for my English lesson on Monday, I sent an-mail to Santa!

Here is Santa's answer!

THE CURSE OF THE MUMMY


In the 1910,the British Egyptologist Douglas Murray bought Princess
Amen Ra's mummy.People said there  was a curse on it,but Murray
didn't believe it.However,by the time he reached his home in living
nightmare:He had lost his right hand in an accident and two of his best
friends had died suddenly.Murray gave the mummy to the British Museum
and they decided to send it to the Museum of Natural History in New York.
The mummy was placed on board a ship sailing to America.On 10 April,1912,
the ship set off-but it never reached New York.A dark shadow was hanging over
the voyage.It is said that they had put Princess Amen Ra's mummy aboard the Titanic!

Royal Ascot



Royal Ascot is one of the world's most  famous horse race meetings.
More than 300,000 people visit it very year.It is held in Berkshire,England
in June and lasts for five days.The Queen herself atteds Royal Ascot and she
always arrives in a horse-draw carriage.

One of the five days is called Ladies Day.On that day then focus turns from
racing to fashion,in particular the laidies and their hats!

Whether you are looking for a sporting or a social day,Royal Ascot has a wonderful

1001 Uses for Vinegar!

Yes,vinegar! It's not just for sprinkling on chips!You can remove chewing gum from clothes with it or take a spoonful of it when you've got a cold!


  • Ants – Stop ants by pouring white distilled vinegar on the area
  • Brass & Copper – Polish brass & copper with a mixture of 2 tablespoons of ketchup and 1 tablespoon white distilled vinegar, rub it on with a clean cloth until dry and shiny
  • Fruit Flies – Get rid of fruit flies by setting out a small dish of distilled white vinegar
  • Grout – Clean grout by letting full strength white distilled vinegar sit on it for a few minutes and scrubbing it
  • Pets – Give your dog a gleaming coat by spraying with a solution of 1 cup white distilled vinegar to 1 quart water.  Don’t spray in face!
  • Rabbits in Garden – To keep rabbits from eating your plants, put a cotton ball soaked in white distilled vinegar in a 35mm film container, poke a hole in the top and place in the garden
  • Fresh Cut Flowers – To preserve fresh cut flowers or even droopy ones, add 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar and 1 teaspoon sugar to a quart of water in a vase
