The Ancient Egyptians
The River Nile was very important to the Ancient Egyptians. The Egyptians
caught fish with spears and nets. They used the nets to catch birds that
flew close to the water. They also carried goods on the Nile by boat.
The Egyptians also made paper and boats from papyrus, a type of grass.

DREAMCATCHER
An old Lakota leader is on a mountain.
He has a dream: Iktomi, the wise spirit, appears
as a spider in his dream. Iktomi begins to spin a
web and says to him:
as a spider in his dream. Iktomi begins to spin a
web and says to him:
We begin our lives as babies, then we become children,
and then adults. Finally, we get old and we need
people to look after us, just like babies.
This is the cycle of life.
This is the cycle of life.
But, in each time of life, there are good forces and bad forces.
Always listen to the good forces and follow the right path.
The bad forces can take you down the wrong path.

The bad forces can take you down the wrong path.
This web is a perfect circle with a hole in the centre.
Use it to help people. The web can catch all your good ideas and dreams,
but all the bad thoughts go through the hole!
